I have 9 feral cats which I saved from work. I saved more but some lost the battle and initially thought only to have the herpes virus, but some were found to have FIV as well. They were given from a day to a week to survive.
My first was the beginning of my madness, he had the herpes virus quite badly and was literally starving to death in front of my eyes as he couldn’t smell his food! So I decided to enlist some help amongst my buddies to catch him, it took us 5 and a half hours to catch him!
From that day I never looked back.
When I come home before I enter, he stands on his hind legs and puts his front paws on the glass panel of the door and I must do the same on the reverse side of the glass! He is a tuxedo kitty and a cat par excellence! He and his siblings have taught me a lot about kitten behavior and ferals!
